Tony Blair Institute for Global Change Urges Boris Johnson to Create Global Coronavirus Vaccine Passport

Former Labour prime minister Tony Blair is pushing Boris Johnson to use British leadership of the G7 to create a global vaccine passport.

The Tony Blair Institute for Global Change is calling for UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson to create a Global Coronavirus Vaccine Passport, citing the upcoming G7 summit (which may be changed to “D10”) as an opportunity to lead this initiative. This effort is being made due to the effects of the coronavirus pandemic is having on the world.

The Tony Blair Institute for Global Change supports political leaders and governments to build open, inclusive and prosperous societies in a globalised world. We do this through developing policy and advising governments.

To remedy this issue and re-enable international travel, a global coronavirus vaccine passport seems to not just be the answer but ultimately “inevitable”, “It is important that the government has a plan to implement an effective process for lifting these restrictions and reenabling safe international travel as soon as possible. To facilitate this, an international Covid Pass is inevitable.”

The UK faces a choice: lead or be led. If we choose to wait, a confusing array of different passports await our citizens. We can avoid this and the complications of multiple passes and varying travel requirements if the UK takes the lead on developing a single, global Covid Pass. In the year of the UK’s G7 presidency, there has never been a more momentous opportunity – or need – for the government to show global leadership.

None of this came out of “no where”. For months, efforts to implement a covid pass of some type have been ongoing in many countries around the world. Singapore airlines was the first first to launch theirs with American Airlines, Denmark, and Britain following along.

As I’ve reported recently, several health and technology groups have also joined forces in what they’re calling the “Vaccination Credential Initiative” in order to accelerate access to digital covid vaccine records. In November of 2020, Chinese President Xi Jinping called for a “Global QR Code System” as well.

In opposition to such a system, a UK based Human Rights Group has also warned that the covid passes could lead to a “Global Identity Document” which is where I said this may likely lead to.

I’ve made it clear in the past that I believe such a system could be used as a stepping stone to the mark of the beast system (Revelation 13:16-17) that will come to fruition during the tribulation period. However, I do not believe the vaccine or this digital health passport technology is the mark of the beast, as it comes out during the tribulation.

It’s still early to say how exactly Boris Johnson will respond to this but we shouldn’t be surprised if others join the call or simply take up the initiative themselves to essentially start what may be a race to a global coronavirus vaccine passport.

Tony Blair Pushes Boris to Create Global Coronavirus Vaccine Passport at G7

From Breitbart: “The UK faces a choice: lead or be led,” insists a new report from the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change, established by the Iraq War architect after he stepped away from electoral politics.

“If we choose to wait, a confusing array of different passports await our citizens,” the Institute claims, suggesting that a global vaccine passport — or “Global Covid Travel Pass” — would be in the people’s best interests.

“We can avoid this and the complications of multiple passes and varying travel requirements if the UK takes the lead on developing a single, global COVID pass,” the report adds.

“In the year of the UK’s G7 presidency, there has never been a more momentous opportunity — or need — for the government to show global leadership.”

“One [option] is that everyone just does their own thing, which is much more chaotic and difficult to manage. Or secondly, there’s a set of [global] rules in place that you may not be that happy with,” Blair told The Telegraph.

“It’s better to have common rules and a common verification system, so that people know what your disease status is and know it with some validation,” inisted the globalist leader — raising the prospect of a worldwide health authority chosing who can travel, and who cannot.

Reports indicate that health and tech giants including Microsoft, the Mayo Clinic, and Oracle are already working on a digital vaccination passport. Read More

Introducing a Global Covid Travel Pass to Get the World Moving Again

From Tony Blair: The Covid-19 pandemic and the ensuing lockdowns and travel bans have led to the most profound de-connecting of society since the Second World War. Reconnecting the world, by means of reopening international travel, is going to require a coordinated effort that manages the risks of Covid-19 and offers uniform standards on testing and vaccines across borders.

The emergence of several new strains of Covid-19, specifically the strains out of Kent, South Africa and Brazil, have added an additional dimension to discussions surrounding the reopening of global travel. The fact that Covid-19 mutates is not unique – all viruses do – but this virus’s mutations have included some which are much more transmissible and could potentially elude vaccines in the future.

In response to these new strains, the UK has introduced its strictest quarantine measures of the pandemic, including the recent reports that some inbound travellers will need to quarantine at a hotel for ten days upon arrival.

It is important that the government has a plan to implement an effective process for lifting these restrictions and reenabling safe international travel as soon as possible. To facilitate this, an international Covid Pass is inevitable. In some instances travel passes are already a reality, and when they are absent – such as the disruption caused to hauliers crossing the English Channel in December 2020 after France temporarily closed its border –we have seen the human and economic consequences.

This paper sets out recommendations on what that would look like. Read More
