European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said that with the inauguration of Joe Biden, Europe once again has “a friend in the White House”. Speaking before the European Parliament on Wednesday morning, the EU Commission boss hailed the prospect of enacting globalist policies with the 77-year-old Democrat, such as combatting supposedly man-made climate change and policing ‘hate speech’ on the internet.
In my article on the top 10 prophetic issues of 2020, I took my time to discuss how I believe the US elections (number 10 on the list) could have prophetically significant ramifications regardless of who would’ve won.
It was clear even as early as November, when Biden was projected to be the winner that the world, in essence, erupted in celebration. From various world leaders, to the pope, and to tyrannical regimes such as Iran’s including their terrorist proxies. They were all thrilled to see Trump out of office.
My mindset at the time was that the excitement was due in part because Biden, unlike Trump, would easily work hand in hand with those who have a globalist mindset whereas Trump’s “America First” rhetoric prevented that for the past 4 years as he instead touted nationalism.
And now that Biden has finally been inaugurated, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen wasted no time making it known what the excitement is all about, confirming my (along with many other’s) suspicions.
She made it clear that Europe now “has a friend in the White House” which is important as tackling “global challenges” such as climate change will require a “renewed and improved global cooperation”.
She went on to highlight the new administration’s move to rejoin the Paris Agreement – which the Trump administration left – as a “starting point for our renewed cooperation”. Again, as this was what we were expecting to come out of a Biden administration, none of this is surprising.
Especially considering that globalism was number 2 on my list of prophetically significant issues. I’m sure we’ll be seeing a growing fervor in this area in 2021.
Globalists Hail Biden: EU Celebrates Having a ‘Friend’ Back in the White House
From Breitbart: “This time-honoured ceremony on the steps of the U.S. Capitol will be a demonstration of the resilience of American democracy. And resounding proof that, once again, after four long years, Europe has a friend in the White House,” von der Leyen declared.
“From climate to health, from digitalisation to democracy – these are global challenges that need renewed and improved global cooperation. And the EU and U.S. must lead from the front and bring an alliance of like-minded partners with us,” she added.
The top EU politician pointed to bloc’s proposed agenda to work with the Biden administration, A New EU-U.S. Agenda for Global Change, as a starting point for cooperation.
The wide-ranging plan calls for a commitment from the United States alongside the European Union to reduce carbon emissions to net-zero by the year 2050, calling for “systemic change across our economies and global cooperation across the Atlantic and the world.”
“I am delighted that on day one of this new administration, the U.S. will rejoin the Paris Agreement. This is the starting point for our renewed cooperation. And way more is to come,” von der Leyen said.
The European Commission chief went on to express her “relief” to see the end of “four long years” of the Trump Presidency but went on to warn of the alleged dangers from the Make America Great Again movement.
“Although Donald Trump’s presidency may be history in just a few hours, his movement will not. More than 70 million Americans voted for him in the election,” she maligned.

Prophetic Implications
As I’ve stated in previous articles, the bible clearly tells us there’s a coming global governing system that will be put in place during the 7 year tribulation. The bible paints a picture of a totalitarian governing system that will control the citizens of the world allowing those who bow down to its demands to participate while barring those who don’t from the system – even to the point of intense persecution and death.
For the world to go from what we have now – separate nation-state governing bodies – to a global governing framework, there will need to be a transformation to bring this change about. This is the very thing we’re seeing calls for now which should tell us the tribulation isn’t as far off as we think and that our departure – the rapture of the church – is even closer!
As believers this news shouldn’t catch us by surprise or scare us. It should put a smile on our faces as it further confirms God’s word and also shows us where we are in God’s prophetic timeline.
