As we currently deal with the coronavirus pandemic, the UN has warned that the next pandemic we may face is a global famine of "biblical" proportions.

Quantum-dot tattoos can hold vaccination records and are delivered to the skin via microneedles. Imagine an invisible "patch" of some kind that's delivered to the skin, biocompatible, and is able to store information that can later be scanned to verify vaccination data for example. Could this also be used in tandem with digital currency? I think so. I believe this is only the tip of the iceberg in terms of how this could be used and implemented in society in the future.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is one of many things that Christians are paying attention to in these last days. It's met with both awe and skepticism. While the majority of people embrace it as they ponder on the possible benefits it could have, some aren't so optimistic claiming it could reach "singularity" - when AI gets out of control possibly reaching human level intelligence and beyond - a point of no return. In Revelation 13:14-15, the image of the beast is said to be given "breath" by the false prophet. Should it pique our interest that the Pope has set his eyes on AI?

We've not only been seeing calls for a global governing system to be established but also for a single individual to rise up in the midst of the turmoil and bring "peace" to the world. As we see an increase in calls for the establishment of a global government and a man to take the reigns of this system, how much closer are we really to the tribulation period and the rapture? I've said it time and time again but we can truly see the stage being set rapidly for the tribulation period and based on God's word, things won't be slowing down anytime soon.

Many of us have heard the term "One World Government" or "New World Order" (NWO). Although these terms have their own cultural connotations and may often be termed as a "conspiracy theory", it must be stated that the bible makes it crystal clear there will one day be a global government of some type that will come about during the tribulation. When will this global government rise to power and what does the bible say about this?

ID2020 is an initiative who's goal is to offer everyone a digital identity which they believe is a fundamental human right. Doing so would allow anyone regardless of social status, wealth, or background to be able to identify themselves. For some, this sounds great but others see it as a privacy concern while believers say it draws a resemblance to what the bible says will play out during the tribulation. Could ID2020 be used to lay the groundwork for what eventually becomes the mark of the beast in Revelation 13:16-17?

The Wall Street Journal also sees a future where getting into the workplace doesn't require a traditional ID badge but is instead replaced with biometric systems or a microchip. As technology advances, so does the interest in biometric and implantable microchip technology. The bible speaks of a time period where a mark will need to be taken in order to buy or sell. Based on what we're seeing now, this reality may not be so far away as some believe.
