‘Covid Passport’ To Be Needed for International Flights

Global airline lobby IATA is working on a mobile app that will help travelers demonstrate their coronavirus-free status, joining a push to introduce so-called Covid passports to speed up the revival of international travel. The Travel Pass will display test results together with proof of inoculation, as well as listing national entry rules and details on the nearest labs, according to the International Air Transport Association. The app will also link to an electronic copy of the holder’s passport to prove their identity. (1)

This news comes a few weeks after I reported that airline alliances Oneworld, Star Alliance and SkyTeam stated testing for Covid through the use of digital health passports would be a way to “restart” international travel. As time marches on, we’re seeing more of a confirmation of this reality. It’s gone from just an idea to a “necessity”.

Even Chinese President Xi Jinping has called for a global QR code Covid passport system that would determine who is qualified to fly. As this race to a standardized digital health passport system continues, do not be surprised when (not if) we start seeing this being proposed or set up for other areas of life such as at concert venues, sport stadiums, restaurants, stores, hair salons, banks, schools, etc.

Though IATA’s plan remains in development, the CommonPass app developed by the World Economic Forum and non-profit Commons Project Foundation has been tested on flights between London and New York, while the AOKpass from travel security firm International SOS is in use between Abu Dhabi and Pakistan. Another piece of information that struck me as interesting was the fact that Bloomberg’s article, Covid Passports Seen as Key to Resuming International Travel, notes the use of the CommonPass health passport as one of these apps being tested for flights. I’ve gone over the significance of this app in the below articles as it relates to the WEF and the Rockefeller Foundation, two organizations tied to the Great Reset and ID2020 Alliance respectively.

As usual, the purpose of bringing this up is to show the general direction things are headed. This has been a notable year as we’ve seen the corononavirus pandemic sped things up in amazing ways, further setting the stage for the tribulation period.

What we’re seeing being brought to fruition today – in my opinion – is part of what may very well be laying the groundwork for the mark of the beast system we read about in Revelation 13:16-17 that ultimately arises during the tribulation period.

And if you believe my thoughts on this are a bit overboard, take a look at this November 26th article from Israel National News, ‘We won’t force vaccine; but here’s what we will do’.

Israeli Health Ministry Director Hezy Levy stated citizens can’t be forced to take the vaccine but can essentially be coerced to do so through a variety of means – which has been the point I’ve been addressing for several months now.

Commentator Mike Cernovich in response then wrote, “Government won’t force you to take vaccine. Amazon will. Airlines will. Banks will. You won’t be able to buy, sell, or trade without the vaccine. If you weren’t paying attention before, now’s a good time to do so.

Although I do not believe this vaccine or this digital health passport technology is the mark of the beast, as it comes out during the tribulation, I’ve made it clear that it may very well be a shadow of that system. For the believer in Christ, these are exciting times as we see our redemption draws near!

If you’re not a believer, this is an exhortation to you to cast your hopes on Christ as the world seemingly falls apart around us. I pray that you reflect on what’s been presented here in light of bible prophecy and take into consideration God’s free gift of salvation to you by which you can have eternal life and peace in the midst of life’s trials.

Covid Passports Seen as Key to Resuming International Travel

From Bloomberg: A test program will begin with British Airways parent IAG SA this year before arriving on Apple Inc. devices in the first quarter of 2021 and Android from April, IATA said. Travelers will be able to share their status with border authorities or present a QR code for scanning.

“We need to have global rules and standards” on measures like rapid testing and vaccination so there can be a “step forward” for the industry, Pieter Elbers, the head of the Dutch arm of Air France-KLM, said in a Bloomberg TV interview Tuesday. The health advances “will definitely help to restore confidence in travel.”

Qantas Airways Ltd. said a Covid-19 vaccination will be a necessity for its international passengers when approved and distributed. Chief Executive Officer Alan Joyce told Channel 9 in Australia he has discussed the idea with other airlines, and it’s likely to become a pre-boarding requirement around the world. “It’s going to be a common theme across the board,” Joyce said.

While international travel remains in the doldrums amid a patchwork of local restrictions and lockdowns, countries are beginning to embrace testing to shorten or do away with quarantines for arriving passengers.

The first vaccines are meanwhile expected to become available in coming months. That’s prompted a spate of technology-led moves to devise mechanisms to monitor travelers’ Covid credentials and combat false claims from people desperate to fly. Read More

WARNING SHOT Qantas will only let passengers who’ve had the Covid vaccine on their international flights

From The Sun: AUSTRALIAN airline Qantas will require travelers on international flights to have had the coronavirus vaccine once an inoculation is ready, CEO Alan Joyce said.

He told Australian news programme A Current Affair: “Whether you need that domestically, we’ll have to see what happens with COVID-19 in the market, but certainly for international visitors coming out and people leaving the country, we think that’s a necessity.”

Australia’s largest airline is planning to enshrine the mandate in its terms and conditions, which would be amended to say that international travelers must be vaccinated before they can board a Qantas plane. Other airlines are likely to impose similar requirements once health regulators around the world approve a vaccine, according to Joyce.

He said the policies could be enforced by providing travelers with a digital “vaccination passport” that shows what vaccine they’ve received and whether it’s “acceptable to the country you’re traveling to.”

He added: “I’m talking to my colleagues in other airlines around the globe and I think its going to be a common theme across the board. “There’s a lot of logistics, a lot of technology that’ll be needed to put in place to make this happen, but the airlines and the governments are working on this as we speak.” Read More
