Quotations
- Studies in Revelation – Bible.org: “The word millennium means a thousand years and refers to the promise of Scripture that Christ would reign on earth for a thousand years. The millennium has come to be synonymous for not only Christโs reign on earth, but for the fulfillment of all Old Testament hopes and expectations associated with the kingdom of God on earthโpeace, no war, perfect seasons, Israel and Jerusalem the center of the earth, Gentile domination removed, etc. (key verses, Isa. 2:1-4; 9:7; 11:2f; Rev. 20)” 2
- The Popular Dictionary of Bible Prophecy, Ron Rhodes: “Premillennialism teaches that following the second coming, Christ will institute a kingdom of perfect peace and righteousness on earth that will last for one thousand years.” 3
- Four Views on the Millennium: Blue Letter Bibleโs , “the amillennialist believes that the Kingdom of God was inaugurated at Christ’s resurrection…at which point he gained victory over both Satan and the Curse. Christ is even now reigning…at the right hand of the Father over His church. After this present age has ended, Christ will return and immediately usher the church into their eternal state after judging the wicked. The term “amillennialism” is actually a misnomer for it implies that Revelation 20:1-6 is ignored; in fact, the amillennialist’s hermeneutic interprets it (and in fact, much of apocalyptic literature) non-literally.โ The prefix โaโ in the name โamillennialismโ means โnoโ or โnotโ. Therefore the name means โno millenniumโ. 4
- The Popular Dictionary of Bible Prophecy, Ron Rhodes: “Amillennialism, which takes a spiritualized approach in interpreting biblical prophecy, teaches that when Christ comes, eternity will begin with no prior literal thousand-year reign on earth. Amillennial literally means “no millennium.” Instead of believing in a literal rule of Christ on earth, amillennialists generally interpret prophetic verses related to the reign of Christ metaphorically and say they refer to Christ’s present (spiritual) rule from heaven.” 5
- The Popular Dictionary of Bible Prophecy, Ron Rhodes: “The postmillennial view, which takes a spiritual approach in interpreting biblical prophecy, teaches that through the church’s progressive influence, the world will be Christianized before Christ returns. In postmillennialism, the millennium will basically involve a thousand years of peace and prosperity that precedes Christ’s physical return.” 6

The Gospel
Weโve all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Psalm 51:5, Romans 3:23). Because God is Holy he must judge sin. The penalty of this sin is death and ultimately the Lake of fire (Romans 6:23, Revelation 20:11-15). Thereโs nothing we can do to save ourselves (Isaiah 64:6).
But God, in his love has provided a way to escape his wrath through Christ (John 3:16-18, John 14:6). Jesus paid for our sin penalty by taking Godโs wrath in our stead on the cross (Romans 5:8). He died for our sins, was buried, and rose again 3 days later (1 Corinthians 15:1-5).
You can accept this free gift of salvation by believing in Christ (Acts 16:30-31, Romans 6:23, Ephesians 2:8-9). Make sure youโve made the right decision about Jesus today (2 Corinthians 6:2)! It will be the most important decision of your life, for eternal life.
