The "Excelsior Pass" will begin to be used in New York. This will both serve as a means to ease people back into society safely and as a way to test and improve on this technology. What's most important here in my opinion is that New York will be seen as an example for other states around the US. We should not be surprised that as the year marches on, other states employ the same technology.

In a stunningly rare discovery, dozens of 2,000-year-old biblical scroll fragments have been excavated from Judean Desert caves during a daring rescue operation. Most of the newly discovered scroll fragments — the first such finds in 60 years — are Greek translations of the books of Zechariah and Nahum from the Book of the Twelve Minor Prophets, and are written in two scribal hands.

Is digital currency something we should be paying attention to? I believe so. Although the bible doesn't speak distinctly about digital currency many believe that Revelation 13:16-17 is one place we can look to that may hint at it.

Recently a movement began on Saudi twitter pages to both lessen the importance of the temple mount for Muslims and instead recognize the ties of the Jewish people to the temple mount! Various twitter users tweeted their support with the use of an hashtag as they recognized Jerusalem as the eternal capital of the Jewish people, called for the third temple, and hoped for Saudi-Israel peace. Although this is a movement we're seeing on twitter, why should we care? Because this, more than anything, shows us the changing mindset of the Saudis and other Muslims regarding what they believe to be important Holy sites for Muslims!

Pope Francis is set to pay a visit to Iraqi Ziggurat for an interfaith prayer meeting in the area that was known in Abraham's time as Ur of the Chaldeans (Genesis 11:31). What's telling about this news is the fact that this is the area of Mesopotamia where the construction of the tower of Babel was attempted and Babylon was. I'm of the believe that the Babylon in Revelation 17 and 18 will be a literal rebuilt Babylon for numerous reasons. In light of that, it's interesting to see the Pope choose this region specifically. Is this merely happenstance or could this be the start of a revival of the area and the rebuilding of the last day's Babylon?

In an effort to reopen safely, Israel is utilizing their "Green Pass", a coronavirus vaccine passport that will enable vaccinated citizens to return to a semblance of "normalcy". I believe this is especially important to take notice of due to the fact that Israel's been able to carry out vaccinations faster than other parts of the world. Due to this, Israel will be the nation setting an example in terms of what it looks like to vaccinate large portions of the population and employ a covid vaccine pass. Even European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has noted this system in a meeting with leaders from the EU's 27-member states.

Two Christians in Lahore, Pakistan, have been charged with blasphemy after Muslims objected to their Bible study in a local park last weekend.

News like this shouldn't surprise us as we're in the last days, but this must be called attention to and clearly marked as false. We must make it clear that Progressive "Christianity" is no Christianity at all. Any so called branch, sect, or variation of Christianity that rejects the bible as authoritative and as the inspired inerrant word of God, while also undermining many other core doctrines of the faith, is FALSE. This truth is elaborated to us in 2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:21, 1 Thessalonians 2:13. With this being said, I also want to encourage us to pray for this pastor, that he may come to the knowledge of the truth and truly see what the bible is and the life changing impact it's had on many including ourselves.

By now, we're no strangers to the plethora of news that's frequently coming out regarding digital health passes. In 2020 I've reported on the Covi-Pass, Health Passport Ireland, and the increasingly "popular" CommonPass. The "Good Health Pass" Collaborative is just another initiative similar to the others.

This news comes at a time when we're already seeing other nations such as China making significant headway in implementing digital currency. The European Central Bank, Japan, and Venezuela have also taken an increased interest. Thus far, 2021 is looking very promising in regards to the advancement of digital currency.
